Getafe vs Osasuna – News and Probable Lineups
On Saturday evening, two sides with significant stakes will meet in Madrid, as Getafe faces Osasuna in the final matchweek of the 2025-26 La Liga season.
Currently, Getafe holds the seventh position in the La Liga standings, just one point ahead of eighth-placed Rayo Vallecano. In contrast, Osasuna sits 16th, only two points clear of the relegation zone.
Match overview
Getafe aims to clinch European qualification for the 2026-27 season as they conclude their La Liga campaign at home against Osasuna on Saturday night.
The team from the capital is positioned seventh in the table, which grants them a spot in the Conference League playoff round; however, they are merely one point ahead of Rayo Vallecano below them, while Valencia in ninth is just two points behind them as the last matchweek approaches.
There’s still a potential for Getafe to finish in sixth place and secure a Europa League position thanks to their better head-to-head record against sixth-placed Celta Vigo, but they must defeat Osasuna while hoping Celta loses their season finale at home against Sevilla.
Jose Bordalas’ squad, who ended the previous season in 13th place in Spain’s top league, enters this clash after suffering a 1-0 loss away to Elche.
Getafe has had a tough time in front of their supporters this season, recording the fourth-worst home record in the league with only 24 points accumulated from 18 games.
Osasuna, on the other hand, remains in danger of relegation from Spain’s top tier this season, as they are only two points clear of the relegation zone heading into the final fixtures.
With a record comprising 11 wins, nine draws, and 17 defeats from 37 league outings this season, Alessio Lisci’s squad finds themselves in 16th place, two points above Girona in 18th and three points clear of Mallorca in 19th.
Los Rojillos are in their seventh consecutive season at this level and have achieved top-half finishes in four of those seasons, making their current position toward the bottom of the table quite surprising.
Additionally, Osasuna holds the fourth-worst away record in La Liga this season, having secured just 10 points from 18 matches, which is likely to dampen the mood of their fans ahead of this fixture.
Earlier this season, Los Rojillos triumphed over Getafe with a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture, and they have lost only one of their last four encounters against their upcoming opponents.

Team News
For the upcoming match, Getafe will be without two players due to suspensions; Djene Dakonam was sent off against Elche, and Martin Satriano accumulated a yellow card, making him ineligible to play.
Kiko Femenia and Juanmi were absent for the match against Elche due to injuries, and the pair will undergo assessments ahead of this weekend’s clash.
Borja Mayoral has recently returned to the bench after a long-term knee injury and might feature in some capacity on Saturday, but Adrian Liso could take Satriano’s spot in the starting XI.
Osasuna, meanwhile, needs to evaluate Raul Moro, who missed the last match against Espanyol due to a hamstring injury.
Iker Munoz is serving a suspension following a yellow card against Espanyol, but the visitors are otherwise in reasonable shape for the encounter against Getafe.
Ante Budimir has had another stellar season, netting 17 times in Spain’s top division, and the 34-year-old is expected to play an important role in the attack.
Getafe probable starting XI:
Soria; Nyom, Abqar, Duarte, Romero, Iglesias; Milla, Caceres, Arambarri; Martin, Lisa
Osasuna probable starting XI:
Herrera; Rosier, Catena, Boyomo, Bretones; Torro, Moncayola; Ruben Garcia, Oroz, V Munoz; Budimir
While Getafe’s home form has been disappointing this season, Osasuna has also faced challenges on their travels, so a low-scoring draw seems likely, and it will be interesting to see where that positions both teams at the conclusion of the campaign.
